An Internet Outage Can Be Outside Your Provider’s Control
You might ask yourself, “Why do I need a backup internet connection? We have XYZ provider who guarantees almost 100 percent uptime.” While your provider likely DOES guarantee you’ll barely experience any downtime, outages do happen – and they’re often out of your provider’s control.
Having more than one internet connection will ensure the productivity of your office when an outage does teak place.
What Can Cause Outages?
Outages can be due to equipment failure, censorship, cyberattacks, or other types of disasters. While most internet outages are resolved by a simple troubleshooting call and restarting your router, did you know there can be factors outside of your provider’s control that can cause downtime?
Some factors are outside of your provider’s control. Construction, flooding in a carrier’s equipment room, accidental wire cutting, and corroded wires are just some issues that can lead to outages.
Because there are so many factors that can take down your internet, it is important to do the proper research to ensure your connection is truly redundant.
